Salt Potatoes
By Ben Fesxbe | July 8, 2008
Here’s another no fuss no muss go along recipe when roasting meat in your Cobb Premium BBQ Grill.
INGREDIENTS:
Salt or baby potatoes
Salt
Water – 1 cup
PREPARATION:
Wash potatoes and leave whole with skins on. Add one cup of water to the flavor well of your Cobb Premium Grill. Place desired amount of potatoes for your dinner party size into the well. Pour salt to taste into water and give a stir with a big spoon. Be careful as the coals are right there and you don’t want to get burned. Cover with Cobb non-stick cooking surface and roasting rack. Place meat on roasting rack. When meat is done, remove roasting rack and non-stick cooking surface. Using spoon remove potatoes because it’s dinner time! Cook time should be around 60 to 75 minutes or until done.

So your “Thank you for your order” email prompted me to re-visit your site the other day. I spotted the baby potatoes in the Cobb Grill recipe and it jogged my memory as I shelved the salt when I got my grill. I figured potatoes gotta go good with it. So tonight, my wife and I lolled around in the back yard while the Cobb coooked a small roast of beef with baby potatoes in the moat. When it was done we retreated to the air conditioned comfort of the house. I retrieved the Bacon Salt from the cupboard. We placed the small potatoes in our bowls, added butter and sour cream,(not mentioned in your recipe, by the way). Now the beef was to die for, medium rare and perfect, but those potatoes! We sprinkled the Bacon Salt on the spuds. OH YEAH! My wife busted my chops as I went back for thirds. Anyway, I hope that explains my new order for 6 jars. I plan on dolling that out at my BBQ’s like some kind of Johnny Baconseed. Art you rock!

I was introduced to your “salt Pototoes” through a friend that was in your area. We just loved them. Problem, here in Florida we cannot locate them.
Can you help us out?
