What to do with teens at a barbecue?

By Tom | February 19, 2008

Rosebud asked:

My 11th grade daughter is having a barbecue party at our house and we’re having trouble coming up with food & activity ideas. This is going to be an evening party.

What kind of food would you suggest for a party with mostly 10th-12th graders?

And what should we do after they have finished eating? I’m not sure what kinds of activities and/or games are usually at barbecues.

Any suggestions would be super helpful. Thank you in advance!

Sue

Umm. have the originals, hot dogs and
hamburgers. Maybe make some ribs if you want too.
Have chips, soda, cookies, stuff like that.
Then for activities you could have a swim party if you
have a pool. Or just turn on some music and have them dance.
They’ll come up with stuff to do.
